Dinner tonight

I had a sudden craving for BLT's for dinner tonight. Yummy! The only thing is, I had to go to the store and get the bacon, lettuce, bread, chips and I also got avocados. I had the tomatoes and mayo. I'm glad the grocery store is close...

Blog Hop

I am trying something new today. A blog hop. I'm trying to think of three things you don't know about me. Hummm.....

Most folks will already know these things, but if you're new, you may not.

I have two really smart beautiful daughters.

I have a wonderful hubby that buys me knitting workshops for Christmas.

And I have this little guy. Our first grandbaby.

Peaches and Lizards

Today we went to the Peach Festival in Weatherford, Tx. We drank lemonade, ate peach ice cream and really yummy peach cobbler. There were lots of crafts and food booths and all of the shops on the square were open as well. It was really hot too, even though we got there early and left around 11:00 am.

Most of the crafts were a little too "crafty" for me, but some of the "antique" stores along the square and side streets seemed to have good prices on some interesting pieces.

We bought these peaches

and these tomatoes from a produce stand.

I also bought this lizard to go in my sun room.

He will join my other lizard friends on the wall. I'm always on the look out for unique lizards we we take a trip.

Now we're home to keep cool for the afternoon.

Frogs

In our backyard, we have two ponds...

Usually, several time during the summer, we have waves of frogs come to serenade us with their LOUD croaking. Of course, they don't start their entertainment until around 10:oo pm. Doc20 will go into the backyard, armed with a pool net and flashlight, braving the mosquitos, to catch and send to frog heaven the current crop of croakers. I know this is not very "eco-friendly" and they do eat bugs, but earlier this week he had a record catch for one night. You try sleeping with FIFTEEN frogs calling their girl friends just outside your bedroom window.

I "Need" to Go to the Yarn Store

I'm off to the yarn store soon. The item in my last post is almost finished. I ran out of the yarn I'm using for the ribbing and I need a button for it as well. I'm sure I won't find anything else that I "need".
